WE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO OFFER ADOG EVENTS
WITHOUT VOLUNTEERS. |
|
• How do I volunteer? Email ADOG, let Michelle, Kate or Sharon know at class or call 770-986-8317. Please include the date of the event you're volunteering for and class you prefer. Volunteers receive two free run throughs. • Do I need to register? No, it is not necessary for you to register for your two free run throughs. You will need to register if you want more than two. The fee for additional volunteer run through is $4 per run. See "How do I get my run through" below. • How do I get my run through? You need to let your Coordinator know what class and slot number (see the Confirm Entry link on your S & G to choose your slot number) you want to show your dog (give jump heights if applicable). You will then be included on the list of entries. It will no longer necessary for you to write your name in when you arrive as we have done in the past. • Can I volunteer to coordinate an ADOG event? Absolutely! We'd love to have you and as a way of our saying "thanks", you can choose $45 cash or one-half class credit. Sharon, Kate or Michelle will be available to help you through your first Show & Go and Ann will provide all necessary paperwork. • Running order: The participants on the sheets provided to the S & G coordinator are in "date received" order with some slight adjustments for 2nd run entries and participants who have two dogs in the same class (see below). • Multiple entries: Second entries/same dog: Novice/Open, nine dogs between 1st and 2nd entry (to allow for two groups). Utility, four dogs between 1st and 2nd entry. Same class/different dog: Four dogs between 1st and 2nd dog (when possible). Handlers are welcome to stay for different group with their second dog. • Pre-entries ONLY: "Day of" entries are not longer accepted at our Show and Go. If you have someone "show up" and wants to run their dog, refer them to the S & G Coordinator or if they are not available, apologize and explain that our Show and Go usually fills before the closing date and that we work from a waiting list. It is not fair to those who were on the waiting list that weren't able to get a slot if we allow "drop ins". If a person's name is not on the preprinted sheet, they did not register and can't show their dog. |
