ADOG's basic function is to help
you train your dog to become a pleasurable pet and a better companion. A trained
dog is a joy to live with and is welcomed many places. You and your dog will
learn to appreciate each other as a result of proper training.
We
offer an indoor air-conditioned/headed training facility with group training in all levels of obedience for all dogs eight weeks
and older, as well as Rally classes and private lessons. Our expert
instruction is based on positive reinforcement training, ranging from basic
beginning classes to the most advanced competition training. We
encourage, as well as instruct, the training and showing of dogs as a sport.
Our volunteer instructors have dog training experience ranging from five years
to over thirty years with many different breeds. They not only compete in
the sport of obedience, but also agility, tracking, conformation, hunting, rally
and herding.
Our classes fill very quickly. Early enrollment is urged to assure that
you and your dog have a place in the upcoming session. : Students
with puppies or dogs adopted from rescue organizations or animal control
receive a $10 discount on their first session only and should use the
rescue fee listed.
Refer a friend and receive a $10 "thank you" when they enroll. Families enrolled with two dogs in same
session receive discount on second class ($110 1st class $60 second class).
Visit the ADOG & More section of our site to see our facility, read about us
and see what we do when we're not training. Our Library section has a
wealth of information with sections on Fun Stuff, Pet Care, Reading and
Training. New to obedience? Take a Virtual Tour of each AKC class
exercise in the Training section of the Library.
